1. Distribution of Advanced Water Testing Kit

 Under the supervision of Prof. R. U. Khope, Head of the Department of Chemistry, and with the ongoing support and encouragement of Respected Prof. M. P. Dhore Principal, Prof. Y. K. Meshram and Dr. S. S. Dhote developed an On-Field Water Testing Kit. 1. Advanced Water Testing Kit. Dr. S. S. Dhote transformed the same kit by amalgamation of Technology and Chemistry into the Advanced On Field Water Testing Kit.Using this sophisticated kit, it is possible to quickly analyze more than 10 physicochemical water parameters like Hardness and Type of Hardness, Chlorides, TDS, EC, Alkalinity and their types, etc... 

This kit is distributed to an environmental organisation. So that this private organisation can easily carry out testing for water from various geolocations, which is required for green and environmental audits.

2. Distribution of Eco Friendly Holi colors 

A workshop on eco-friendly Holi colours was organised on March 1, 2023, to raise awareness of the adverse effects of conventional colours. Through this workshop, college students from different institutions become aware of how to celebrate Holi in a safe, eco-friendly, and sustainable way. This holiday was distributed to various NMC schools and deaf and dumb schools.

3.Chem Clean Concentrate Floor Cleaner 

Chem Clean Floor Cleaner Concentrate is a solution made in the Department of Chemistry by Sarang Dhote, an Assistant Professor. It is composed of various chemicals such as Pine oil, Emulsifier, Stabilizer, Demineralised Water, Colour, and Perfume. When 1 liter of the concentrate is diluted, it can make around 40 liters of floor cleaner. This product comes in 8 different fragrances, including Sandalwood, Rise, Jasmine, and Lemon.

As part of the outreach program, diluted Chem Clean Floor Cleaner is distributed free of cost to NMC school Dattatray Nagar. The Department of Chemistry plans to distribute this product to other NMC schools, hospitals, and slum areas under the Swachh Bharat Scheme. The Chem Clean Floor Cleaner is available to college staff and students at a price of 30, and the empty bottles will be refilled with the diluted floor cleaner at a discounted rate as part of the recycling and reuse scheme to reduce plastic pollution.
