Welcome to Microbiology Department
Microbiology department of shivaji science college has been there ever since its inception. The department has a big laboratory consisting of all the required utilities to perform practical and research in the field of microbiology. The teachers of microbiology department play a vital role in promoting the research in the discipline of Microbiology.
- In 1983:- The under graduate department of Microbiology was established.
- In 2004:- The Post graduate course in Microbiology was established.
- In 2006:- combination with technology under graduate course was started.
- In 2012 :- Laboratory has got the recognition as Central Research Laboratory by RTMNU.
- There are 5 Major Research Projects completed(sponsored by DST), 1 Minor project completed(sponsored by UGC)grant of Rs 1,10,55,054 and1 ongoing project granted by BRNS.
