GREEN CLUB
Department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra & DTE, in coordination with UNICEF has decided to form “Green Club” at college level. The Green Club is mainly focuses on Water Conservation for youth in 13 districts of Maharashtra. In this regards Shri Shivaji Science College, Congress Nagar, Nagpur formed Green Club on dated 12 august 2023.
The Green Club established to provide the values of environmental stewardship among the students. It aims to work towards an eco-friendly environment in and around colleges and education institutions by efficient use of resources like water, waste, energy and circularity. These clubs often engage in activities such as water conservation, recycling programs, community clean-ups, tree planting, and educational initiatives about conservation and environmental protection. Green clubs serve as platforms for individuals passionate about environmental conservation to come together, take action, and make a positive difference in their surroundings.
